Super Dave is a South African based tech reviewer on radio, he's also a video game reviewer, YouTuber and founder of The Idiot’s Guide to Gaming.
Formerly on YFM and currently at Metro FM Super Dave used to host YFM's dedicated tech
segment "Tech with Super Dave" alongside the bubbly Khutso Theledi. Currently he's a contributor on Metro FM’s the Morning Flava hosted by Mo Flava, where he talks about everything tech, from gaming, cellphones, trends, electric cars, etc.
Super Dave made the 2018 Mail & Guardian’s 200 young South Africans list under the film and media category.

Over the past 25 years, Dr. Marc Williams has been widely regarded as a Sports Marketing Pioneer and worked for three of the largest Sports Brands in the world: Champs Sports, Footaction and Reebok. He is also considered one of the leading educators in the world in Sports Marketing.
Dr. Williams is the inaugural Global Scholar Practitioner at one of the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Florida Memorial University, where he will prepare students in careers in STEM & ESPORTS. Currently, he is in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education on identifying ESPORTS programming and funding for HBCU’s in higher education.

Hip Hop Artist Collaboration
Signed the first Hip Hop Artist to a monumental sports retail collaborative deal: Grammy Award winner artist Eve and record label Ruff Ryder, as an executive for athletic retailer Footaction.
The Videogame Industry
Negotiated product placement for athletic retailer Footaction in the 2003 award-winning “Streethoops” basketball game by videogame publisher Activision/Blizzard.
Basketball Tours
Co-created one of the most successful grassroots basketball tours: “The AND1 Mix Tape Tour,” a deal between athletic retailer Footaction the AND1 footwear company.
During his tenure at Champs Sports, he was in charge of marketing and advertising, where he also managed the company’s partnerships with the following organizations: NBA, NFL, MLB, ESPN, EA Sports, Activision, Nintendo, 20th Century Fox, Atlantic Records, Universal Music Group, Geffin Récords and Def Jam Records.
Dr. Williams also led a team that created college football’s “Champs Sports Bowl” that featured NCAA teams in the ACC & Big East with a bowl game payout of $4.25 Million for each team. He negotiated product placement in over 120 Music Videos, 75 Feature Films- including Oscar Award winning film “Sideways” and 50 Videogames. In addition, he worked with several legendary icons, such as Michael Jordan, Beyoncé, Jay Z, Aaliyah, Venus Williams, 50 Cent, Allen Iverson, Maroon 5and Will Farrell to name a few.
CNN named Dr. Williams as one of the Top 20 Inspirational Speakers in the World. His insights have been featured in media outlets such as CBS Evening News, BBC World News and CNN.
Dr. Williams is the author of 2 books: Defeating Cancer: A Holistic Approach to Living an Empowered Life and The Art of Networking.

Mic is a storyteller, futurist, entrepreneur and speaker on how exponential technologies can help to #futureproofAfrica. As the Co-Ceo of SingularityU South Africa Mic believes that the future will be abundant, as the convergence and potential of exponential technologies increase and their price gradually drops to zero. This will ultimately democratise numerous industries and improve the lives of all.
After completing his honours degree in scriptwriting, directing and producing film at AFDA, Mic joined as co-owner of the family business, Mann Made in 2003. This Sandton-based award-winning experiential brand agency has worked with top global and local Fortune 500 companies. Mic has 19 years of experience in the media, marketing and eventing industry with multiple creative awards as a film director.
In 2015, Mic completed the Singularity University Executive Programme in Silicon Valley, and realised that in order to #futureproofAfrica we need to embrace exponential technologies in Africa and partnered with SU. Over the last four years Mic and his partners have been inspiring, educating, and empowering South Africans through SU programmes, events and online. They have built a community of change-makers that want to make a positive impact. Mic is regarded as one of the leading experts in Virtual and Augmented Reality globally, developing some of the most exciting new digital spaces and environments with his studio and regularly speaks about VR, AR, the future of work and education. Mic is a strong advocate not only for local communities in South Africa but for all of Africa on a global scale.

Co-founder + CEO ● Leti Arts
Eyram is the co-founder and CEO of Leti Arts. As a game developer, Eyram believes that Africa can make a salient contribution to the world of game development and preserve culture through this.
He has pioneered developing the gaming industry in Africa with Leti Arts. Eyram believes preserving cultural diversity through gaming and entertainment is very important and aims to prove this by creating world class games and comics using African talent. He's won several awards for his work in the African video game development space including the British Council YCE Media Awards (2012), Africa Entrepreneurship Award 2015 and the World Summit Awards 2018, a frequent speaker at game conferences globally and an author with his book Uncompromising Passion documenting his Journey as an African video game developer.
Challenged with scarce African game development skillsets, he initiated an internship program that has trained 250+ students from Junior to Tertiary level. He recently became the Country director for Ambitious Africa, which is a global organization leading change through young people.
He studied at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, Dartmouth College, USA and at the Meltwater Foundation, where he was a Software Teaching Fellow, inspiring others while also working on his own projects. He is also a Mandela Washington Fellow and a member of the Harambe Alliance.

Head of Mind Sport + Esports ● Northcliff High School
Noelene du Toit started the Esports club at Northcliff High School over a decade ago. Northcliff High remains one of the top esports schools in the country and have won numerous competitions.
Noelene was awarded the National Meritorious service award by Mind Sports South Africa in December 2018 for her leadership role in growing esports in schools.
Noelene is the Information Technology teacher for grade 10, 11 and 12, teaching Delphi programming, SQL and theory including database management. She is also the Computer applications technology teacher for grade 10,11 and 12, teaching Microsoft Office suite products and HTML web design.

Presenter, Editor, Writer + Gamer
Pippa Tshabalala is best known as the host of South Africa’s first locally produced TV show on video games – The Verge. She holds a BAFA and MAFA (Digital Animation) from Wits University and lectured 3D animation at Honours and Masters level at Wits Digital Arts between 2007 – 2009. During this time she began presenting an internationally syndicated video game show, PlayR and then later The Verge.
She has worked as a content producer, as a promo producer and as a magazine editor, managing a digital pop culture magazine called Spliced. She spoke at TEDxSoweto in 2013 on the subject of video games as a medium for social change, and was listed on the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in the same year. In 2016 she was listed on BrandSA’s 40 under 40. She has hosted and spoken at numerous tech events, most recently she co-hosted BCX Disrupt with keynote speakers Will.I.Am and Malcolm Gladwell.
Pippa is passionate about all things video games and animation and currently hosts and co-produces a web show called Glitched.

Wanda has been working within the strategy field for over 20 years. Driving strategy, new operating models, innovation as well and thought leadership within the organisation’s that she’s worked and consulted for.
Having been instrumental in leading new business ventures for Telkom in the content value chain, developing strategy, implementing new innovative product propositions and generating new revenue streams therefrom. She’s also turned around their esport business unit, VS Gaming, to ensure wider appeal, long term sustainability as future business area and driver of broadband services.
Her new and exciting challenge is the establishment of the “incubation hub” wherein she’ll be delivering IOT and smart home solutions, content and gaming value added services all supported by Telkom’s rich broadband propositions.

Competitive FIFA player ● Goliath Gaming
Julio 'Beast' Bianchi is a competitive FIFA player (on PS4) from Cape Town, South Africa.
Beast, who used to be a semi-pro footballer, competed in the FIFA eWorld Cup Global Series Playoffs in Amsterdam in 2018 where he impressively beat 2X world champion, August Agge Rosenmeier, and finished off in the top 64 in the world on PS4 in the tournament.
On South African soil, Beast has won many top local tournaments and ended the FIFA20 season as #3 on PS4 in South Africa and #155 in the world on PS4 in the official FIFA20 rankings. Beast is signed to one of South Africa’s top MGO’s, Goliath Gaming, and is the captain of their FIFA squad.
Outside of competitive gaming, Beast is studying accounting at CPUT in Cape Town.

Gabriel Ramokotjo is the CEO and co-founder of Ekasi Esports which is the first black managed gaming organisation in South Africa. Gabriel was previously with the ZA Domain Name Authority and is a former President of the Gauteng Chapter of the Internet Society of South Africa

Gaming Influencer, Esports Caster + Tech Enthusiast
Sam 'Tech Girl' Wright is a tech and gaming YouTuber/blogger who entered the world of esports broadcasting in 2016. She quickly cemented herself as a leading host, interviewer and MC for gaming and technology related events in South Africa and has since worked at various esports events in Europe and Asia.
Sam has played a significant role in many major esports and gaming events in South Africa, including the VS Masters 2016 Finals, which she co-hosted alongside Paul 'ReDeYe' Chaloner, as well as the 2017 Samsung Galaxy CS:GO Championship, for which she was desk-host for the duration of the competition. She’s proven her versatility time and again, working across various game titles including CS:GO, Dota 2, Call of Duty, Dragon Ball FighterZ and even Splatoon 2. She’s also served as MC at various corporate events for brands such as Nintendo, Acer and ASUS.
Sam’s blog, TechGirl.co.za, is one of the leading technology and gaming blogs in South Africa. She’s also branched out via her YouTube channel, where she produces behind-the- scenes vlogs of events, live-streams gameplay, and interviews popular gaming personalities.
Sam has a regular segment on 5FM called #GamerGlitch which occurs every Thursday night and most recently has launched South Africa’s first regular Gaming and Esports Newsletter along with ChaniZA.

Co-Founder + Managing Director ● Team Gematrix
Cholwe Shabukali is Co- Founder and Managing Director of Team Gematrix. Cholwe manages the players on the team and carries out day to day operations such as social media management, content creation, planning and business development.
Before starting an eSports startup, Cholwe was a student at the University of Lusaka and is still pursing her Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She also previously worked at DDB Iris Limited one of Zambia’s Top 5 Marketing agencies as an account manager.
Cholwe enjoys video games, online gaming with friends, Linkin Park music, documentaries & research on mythology.
